The
North Atlantic Division [NAD] is one of eight Army Corps of
Engineers regional business centers. It services the Northeast and
51 other countries through its district offices in Concord [Mass.],
New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Norfolk and Wiesbaden
[Germany].
The Division is committed to addressing the environmental,
infrastructure, and water resource challenges in the region, so it
plans, designs and builds projects to support the military,
protect America’s water resources, and restore and enhance the
environment. It handles a variety of engineering and construction
for international, federal, state and local governments and
agencies. It covers 14 Atlantic Coast states from Maine to Virginia
and the District
of Columbia, and serves 62 million people, over 22 percent of the
U.S. population.
More than 3400 NAD staffers respond to natural disasters and
national emergencies, support contingency operations and provide
quality engineering and construction management services.
